ahhh! words cannot express how much I hate pitchfork - I was so glad to see you all commenting with my exact feelings towards them. What a horrible monster they have become! another one of my favorite underestimated geniuses, tim kinsella -has had his so called career literally cursed and ruined by that website - and even worse, all because of a personal thing between tim & pitchfork's CEO - so every review is totally biased against him - horrible journalism, indeed. I'm really glad ariel came out on top in the end and is getting lots of press/love/$$/etc.. he deserves it- but it just proves how fickle mainstream "indie" really is, if they gave before today a horrible review, ariel's career would be stuck in LA. not that he's not good enough to do it on it's own, and I'd like to think his fans are smarter and more discerning, but I think sadly lots of his fans have come from pitchfork.

I really hate that site :666:

I clearly remember p-fork rating Robert Wyatt's "Rock Bottom" something like 3 or 4. This was a few years ago. The reviewer guy wrote it was too weird, something like "this is the shit that Syd Barret's been tripping to". I tried to find the review, but they have replaced it with a review of the re-issue, in which they gave it 9.0.

Metallica could not have taken that song seriously. Metallica hated Ratt back in the day. But I would love to hear it as well because I love both bands. I grew up with them.

haha yeah i've always wished pitchfork let you comment on their reviews. i would love to post some 'abusive comments' regarding their treatment of love is real.

I thought it said the ALBUM will be released april 26, not the single. what's the point in releasing the single a month and a half after it's already online?

You are absolutely right, / songs at the band's lead singer. It's so good. I do not know the merry-go-round of the song is also part of a new version of some old songs never released, or if it's new material ..Tera Items...

slightly off-topic, but this is possibly the most bizarre pitchfork review i've ever read: http://web.archive.org/web/20001005152650/www.pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/k/kahimi-karie/kahimi-karie.shtml

it seems brent dicrescenzo had a knack for writing terribly embarrassing reviews.. btw, kahimi rules http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug3SXDtYavI :victory:.
