so apparently ariel is touring with the flaming lips. they're coming here in september fuck the flaming lips though, I'm just amazed that ariel pink is coming to this asshole of a city. can't wait

so the show was a blast. I ended up meeting a couple of really cool people who were also only there for ariel. I'm pretty sure we were the only ones there that actually listened to him haha. they played a short (but sweet) set consisting of mostly new songs, but they threw in a couple oldies. ariel was his usual self, going crazy on stage in his spandex, licking people's faces and playing with his scarf (which I stole ). there were a couple shirts for sale, one of them being available on the official site. I ended up buying one, as well as the FF>> vinyl. the best part though was after the show. me and the two other ariel fans went outside to catch him before he went on his tour bus. the whole band ended up hanging out with us and talking for about half an hour. ariel even bummed a smoke off me . all in all it was probably the best night of my life, it hasn't even set in that I actually met him

most definitely get to shows early. ariel is generally hanging out around the venue before he goes on. so great that he is always willing to have a smoke and a chat.

I talked to him and Harry Merry about Mausspace a couple of years ago in Rotterdam. He likes this place. Going to see him in Amsterdam on Sunday!
