Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

do you have a favorite track from DTBJ? Just curious - everyone's entitled to their opinion

the thoughts that came to mind about dtbj was that it sounded like a re-tread of his last few albums with a bit of his old style mixed in.
i don't dislike the album by any means, in fact i think it's one his better works.
"another weekend" has top ten potential if it didn't have that odd bit leading up to the chorus.
if i was to choose a favorite track, it would be "death patrol", but even that sounds like a distant cousin to "lipstick".
it seems to me that "cloak & dagger" is something a little more innovative from ariel, that's all

Odd bit? I hope you don't mean that wacky, slippery guitar effect! That's part of what makes the song so unique and good!

sure. but it terms of the masses, most would find it odd and off-putting. by my assumptions anyway.
i could be wrong. some strange music sometimes gets into the top ten.

[ img ]It is said, that in order to obtain the full Doldrums experience, you must listen to it in Windows Media Player compact mode while browsing old Geocities pages.

this is nuts. i have to admit here that i shamefully collect garbage pail kids and other "gross" trading cards. so this whole "graffiti pail kids" thing is completing my life in some sort of fashion.

WANT

my friend picked me up one of geneva jacuzzi's "secret demo vol. 2" CD's in montreal and just gave it to me this weekend. she wrote "do not upload to the internet" on the insert so I'm gonna respect her wishes and not be the one to leak it, but one of the songs features ariel and I couldn't help but share just this one!

19. much too late for goodbye ft. ariel pink

Thanks for sharing! Julian Lennon cover song if anyone didn't recognize. Was a #1 single but over 30 years ago.
