Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

your song reminded me of bubonic plague but with male vocals. that's a good thing.

Here's my tribute to Prince, recorded back in 2008 at the age of 19. I was testing out my new laptop at the time.

Cool cover, J0rdan. I'd like to hear other songs you've recorded.

Wow, that's awesome. You and Hugo must have had a lot of fun with that. Quite ahead of its time for 1983, in that the Tipper Sticker (Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics) hadn't even been invented yet.
That's a seriously fun little EP.

Thanks, RG! I think it was sort of a celebration of me coming over and that shines through in the music. We couldn't stop laughing as we made it, but I actually think the songs are tight af. Very catchy ear worms, too. We kept singing the songs to each other when we were out in public (complete with ridiculous phony English accents). Some of the idea for it was a kind of confused, abstract punk ideology that awkwardly perpetuates its own myth. We did a photo shoot, too (that's us on the cover decked out in party shop gear and some of my usual punk rock accessories), which was tremendous fun. I think I look pretty cool with my blow up guitar if I do say so myself.

Thanks, Josh! Really got into this vid yesterday. The 'msg from Jellyfish' part really cracked me up. Very Lynchian imagery, I think (hope you don't mind me saying so), with the dayglo green lettering and the waterfall that hauntingly fades into that swishy red curtain.
