Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Have you seen this?

A fine moment for televisual history, and sincerely one of the best and most bizarre things I have EVER seen ... "I've always kinda wondered what the voice of a 300 year old disembodied virgin would sound like" - now we know it sounds like someone spitting through a straw! So brilliant.

House Arrest. I hope I am waking the upstairs neighbour with West Coast Calamities right now as paybacks for him doing the washing from 4 to 6 in the morning. Sounded like a fucking airplane scraping onto a bumpy landing strip. If I'm feeling even more vindictive I will move on to Loverboy and crank Phoebus Palast. The song may have grown on me, but I hope he hates it.

Parlovr - Kook Soul

Liked one track so am checking them out. Just watched this fucked up video, scary slow-mo smiling faces and a crystal creature re-birth:

Lick My Decals Off, Baby on cd...I've had on vinyl for some time but my bro found it on iTunes (sounds like it's really good quality) so now I can listen to it in the car! This album is just as excellent as Trout Mask Replica, if not better

60s psych/garage is the most fascinating to me, I remember when we used to have a cd store way back in the 90s and i was wishing for the Nuggets box set. That box was so enticing. These were the days when i couldn't afford much but eventually one of my ex-girlfriends had the good sense to buy that box for me. (I eternally thank her) I instantly fell in love with all the bands on that set, well most of them. It's been quite a journey to discover all these kinds of bands through compilations and what have you. I can think of a few that are highly rewarding:

of course a lot of the pebbles cds are fantastic (the East Side Digital ones are better imo)
