Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

What happened to this project? I see it's an old thread but... you never know.

Band name?

Online collaboration? (Satellite projects, not in-person)

Where is this happening? Status?

(I am also seeking musical talent and generous personalities. I can not guarantee hits, simply listenable, danceable grooves. I play synth and guitar. Learning drums presently.)

Peace!
-R

He had some really great songs on youtube but I'm not sure if they're still up. His youtube was called "thealabastergremlin" or something like that. He probably has an lp worth of songs we haven't heard, so we'll just have to wait 8D

I'm still working on my project.

I'd like to have a bass player and drummer work with me to develop the songs i've written, but I'm not currently interested in collaborating.

Definitely your best song I've heard yet.

Travis, saw your post on Ariel thread...are you still working on music?? I remember your youtube account had some awesome songs, but I can't find it. Please let me know if any of it's for sale on CD or if you can purchase online. If not, do you have a projected time you'd ever release an album? Keep us updated

I've got a lot of work to do before I sale anyone anything.

here's some video stuff i did to learn the software:
http://youtu.be/nu3JV7Z9gs8
https://vimeo.com/user10689092/videos

i downloaded the recording software john uses, but i don't have the hardware which enables to it run(i didn't know). I've been using audacity, a tape recorder, and a small rca-usb device with an old monitoring system and it usually drives me crazy trying to get things to work how i want. i want to use my guitar as a midi controller and get some vintage synth sounds and samples.

No smoke being blown, these songs are amazing! Desperate Lover is my favorite so far, but I'm only on "i"
Your voice is the best i've heard in ages.

Three thumbs up, listened to them all last night! Mind blowing, truly
Is there a chance you could put on mediafire for download? If not, that's cool
Please keep us up to date

Curious about the tracklist and art, that is if you decide to release your music in such a format. REgardless, all your songs surely cater to my taste, for whatever that's worth. I'm always looking for new artists with something unorthodox, fresh, and lots of edge...and as you probably know, there's usually no luck. Can't wait man!

I am buying right now, thanks travis!

Listened to it and it's fucking awesome, you guys should really buy it.
Also, Plastic Flowers has different vocals? I think I like this new version even better.

I've been waiting to hear this for some time and it's as fantastic and original-sounding as I'd hoped it would be.
