I am a complete ignoramus when it comes to Gary War. I know John's mentioned Gary War, so it's safe to assume that he likes this music. Could someone steer me in the right direction...where's the best place to start in terms of records?

Okay I've heard Highspeed Drift but I wasn't too impressed with it. I'll investigate other songs and perhaps buy an album tonight.

Absolutely loving the record. It's so dense and layered, it's hard to take it all in in one go. Absolutely one of the best things I've heard in awhile.

I've seen Gary War play twice in the last two months, and I gotta say, the record sounds absolutely incredible live. He's a brave, brave soul.

Loving the tracks "Muscle Dysmorphia," "Find Our Way," " Care Less," "Pleading for Annihilation" and "Superlifer"'s weird, stately, baroque time-signatures and tropes. There's such a sheen to this record, but as always, and perhaps more than ever on any other of his records, incredibly meticulous layers. I really feel like this guy doesn't do anything half-ass, ever. That each moment has been carefully considered, which I really appreciate in any record. I get something new and special out of this record each time I listen to it, and it bears and is worthy of repeated listens. Such a great piece of work.
