Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

heha - good guess hammy! it was a trick question - it's a song he wrote when he was about 10 and has never been released. All I can remember was that he said it was kinda white wedding-ish. At least that's what he told me. I was legitimately asking him because we were talking about lyrics that can go on buttons. I wasn't, in that case, just being a total fan-girl geek.

Kenny told me his favorite song was Tractor Man.

oh app! how are you?!? xoxo

i just read an old interview, the song is called "Sexy Lady"

good sleuthing hammy! did the article say he was 10 when he wrote it? I don't really remember how old he said he was, but funny he wrote a song called sexy lady. he needs to get that released!! I have always wished HG would do One More Time - that would be fun!!!

pinkspoons - I got the bumper stickers from vistaprint. I am going to ordering some stuff soon, so I will get you a new one. :)

Speaking of One More Time, how old was he when he recorded that?

yeah, Im pretty sure he was 10 when he wrote "sexy lady". No idea when "one more time" was recorded but it can't be too much later, I'd guess 12-13, cus that probably when he started recording after "writing" for a few years. I wud love it if HG did that song, though I usually have to turn it off when it come on my ipod or else I have a little kid's voice stuck in my head all day going "one more time i kiss the ground for you". Kate, you have bumper stickers???? If so, could I have one if it's not too much trouble? My flaming lips sticker on the back of my car is awfully lonely.

Yeah asking what a serious Ariel fan's top ten is is like asking how long is a piece of string. its like a lifelong zen riddle. A few songs that get to me as if for the first time every time even after hundreds of times tho are these

L'estat (acc. to the widows maid) - I have four versions of this (excluding live versions) and each has its own mysterious details
Strange Fires
The Netherlands
Oceans of Weep
In a Tomb All Your Own
Make room for Harry
Envelopes Another Day
Gopacapulco
Inmates of Heartache (3 versions of this heart clinching beauty)
I wanna Be Young (one of the songs I'd most like to hear the current Haunted Graffiti band re-record)
Omen (this is a perfect song)
