Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

a friend and i were discussing how Ariel's vocal style changes drastically from song to song (tractor man vs. helen for example), along with his choice of instrumentation and style of play, and you can almost group his songs together according to style and have another "band". kind of how, say, make room for harry, politely declined, and are you going to look after my boys all share a very similar vibe and sound, a "band" within the band that is ariel pink. i wonder if you folks can identify any others..... i mean i guess it mostly has to do with what time period he was writing the music, what instruments he had around, who was contributing to recording/playing, but it's still fun to trace the lines and pull the loose threads of the tapestry of pink.
