Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Jakes other band (Moon Runners) have free downloads on Rack & Ruin records (my little netlabel) - http://www.rackandruinrecords.com - I think Moon Runners are awesome to be honest, and so I'm not surprised that Christmas sound great. :truluv:

actually, it was recorded on a one-track mono (but heavy on the left) old old table-top recorder.

we recorded our 7 inch on a four track (but with our mics run through a sweet old mixer)

this thing.

yeah the seven inch recordings are really great. everything is nice and hearable but it doesn't sound too polished or too gritty like all those generic punk rock seven inches

if any of you are on the west coast you should come see us when we tour in september/october and we can talk about john maus and stuff.

well that looks professional. i'm surprised you got that good of a sound recording on a single source.
also, thanks for telling me about your netlabel dean. i'll be checking that out soon!
That's cool. Moon Runners, Slothbear, Testicular Manslaughter, Dylan Ettinger will probably appeal to folks who post here, although there are some really really great artists on R&R!

Yeah Christmas are great. The album is out in the early part of this year (and it's fantastic) - also a single coming out on K Records.
