I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

I've got "Scissor" on a Mute label sampler and always thought it was stunning, but I'm not really familiar with the albums - any suggestions of where to start please?

That's what I started with as well. I haven't heard their stuff after their self-titled but listening to the new one now.

yes i have heard it...

i'm really curious to hear what it sounds like in context with the rest of the album. right now i would give the track a 6/10. it might grow on me.

either way i can not wait for this album. i adore everything they put out.

NPR is streaming the whole thing. I want to hear it but I feel compelled to hear more of their back catalog first.

They really do! I saw them at FYF a year or two ago and they were definitely in my top 5 performances in that festival.

Listening to the new one for the first time right now. :dancparty:
