Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Can't really disagree with this article, and it may be useful to anyone looking to network their own recordings, shows, art, whatever. I'm sure I'm not the only one who hates feeling used or betrayed by some upstart who follows me on Twitter for a day and then drops me without any attempt at interaction whatsoever.

I know sometimes the use of social media sites like Twitter of Facebook can be a bone of contention for many artists, but there are some who do it right. I feel very fortunate that most of the music I listen to is spearheaded by thoughtful individuals with a genuine desire to connect (thought immediately of John here). Even when not deliberately used as promotional tools, I do feel there is some positive potentiality here, and maybe even the means to wrest the dialogue back from those agenda-pushing, self-serving mechanisms of capital.
