Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

I making this thread hoping listening your demo, your soundcloud, myspace etc...But maybe even if people ask somekind of zip demo post with new stuff. To discover each others world and music. And maybe even making a band, why not...

Here some demo tracks I made for my solo project since the last 2 month : http://soundcloud.com/4mount
And the electronic chill out project made with a friend, released 2 years ago : http://soundcloud.com/acheronstf

I would love to listen people's demo, anyone already released something on tape, cd, cd r, or even vinyl ?

I will release a demo zip files with tracks not on the soundcloud if some people are interested. Maybe we can even try to release a "demo" mixtape together with favorite tracks from each others unsigned maus forum members ?

I'll listen to these later. Welcome to the forum friend.
I have many songs I've done over the years. I'm hoping to start a band called Eshenn Haushken. Nordic doo wop metal is its tag. I'd like to record a song in a whale stomach, but that doesn't seem plausible.

Thanks friend !

About the stomach idea, maybe try to record in a room with walls covered with carpaccio, also salt water and maybe not digested krill on the floor.

I can't play any instruments, but I did run a netlabel for a few years.... which meant I could put out random stuff, basically piano ambient nonsense with minimal key presses, and none of that fast paced stuff, as my fingers aren't fast, and I didn't understand software... I was "Sister Ruth" on www.rackandruinrecords.com - I also did the same with Gnomefoam, and we put out something as Almiqui, on the same label.

There's LOTS of great stuff on the label, but much of it is lo-fi or indiepop, which may not appeal.

This is my music. I may have posted it before on an old account. I'd be happy for anybody to listen.

well, i might as well throw my link up here as well. another tiny drop in a massive ocean of music downloads.

this is my "netlabel" http://halfbakedadelaide.bandcamp.com/
most downloads are free by entering 0 dollars in the name your price section.
you would be surprised how many people don't know that.

This isn't the final mix, but it's close - my newest entry into the Rare Goat canon, "Holocaust Walnut Bowl". Just a bit of simple punky fun.

H W B

(edit 8/15: put up newly mixed version with some re-recorded parts)

and this one's finished I think, it's a love ballad written and sung by someone else in the band, but I play acoustic gtr. Very different from HWB. If you didn't like that one you might still like this.

I am still thinking of band names, I should get at it since I've been playing guitar more often
Tell me what you think of these band names:

Holocaust Porn
Gun Against Dick
Digital Honus
Destinee Graphix
One Cheeto
The Double Embalmment of Jack Palance
Violent-Ass Dennis The Menace

I'd say Holocaust Porn and One Cheeto are my favorites on the list. Something about mixing the concept of Holocaust and some other unrelated object just strikes me as a bit funny. I suppose I should feel guilty about that, but I don't. And One Cheeto is a good name because there is no such thing as One Cheeto. They are always eaten in multiples of two. You probably never noticed that before, but it's true.
