Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

This is an old article, but I think it most acurately describes my own personal feelings about this song.

i love how full this song is, feels like the "space" is completely engulfed with the anthemic melodies/chords

I still get full on chills every time I listen to it and something 'transcendent' always happens in my mind, too, whether I'm listening to it in the city center at night or sat on the floor in my bedroom.

Also every time someone mentions Baudelaire I get a little niggle remembering I've left my copy of Les Fleurs du Mal up in a loft somewhere back in America. Need to buy a new copy.

Thanks, Hugo! I might just grab that to keep myself satiated. Really fancy some sick (and I mean sick as in outright repulsion and horror, the way only Baudelaire knows how) love poetry right now.

I was just looking for a place to leave this:

Believer as a soundtrack to impressions of last year's Weekend Fest in Cologne (including some Maus footage):
