Also, WHY, if I'm FROM New England, have I never heard of or tried sugar maple syrup liqueur?? This must be remedied. I love NH. I miss a lakeside fire and a starry sky and shadowy pine trees. Am going to Northern Vermont in a few weeks and cannot wait.
I'm asking myself the same question re: maple syrup liqueur. Madam Ant better bring some of that hooch back with her when she visits me. I really miss those shadowy pine trees, too. There seems to be a lack of wilderness here in England. It's mostly bricks and mortar. Even the countryside is quite tame and tidy, with neatly clipped hedges and overly-worked fields.

We need to get together and have a Maus-loving twin sister party, obviously. Do you find that you both (coincidentally or not) tend to gravitate towards a lot of the same music? My sister and I can pretty much rely on eachother's good taste.
