Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Hey everyone, so this is my first post. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to find any of John Maus' academic writings, whether published in a journal, online, etc? I haven't been able to find anything, but am curious, because it turns out he is interested in the same philosophers I am (Alain Badiou, for example, from whom he derives the title, "We Must Become the Pitiless Censors of Ourselves). I have been listening to his music for a while now, but had no idea about his philosophical interests!

I've managed to pick up a little from his interviews, but not much. I can't find anything on the website for the University of Hawaii either.

I did agree with his observation that, in one video, while postmodern academics might be skeptical of "metanarratives," this is not true for "normal" people, who still believe in so-called metanarratives...

Any advice?

He posted one of his writings at Scribed, linked from his Wikipedia page.

I can't read beyond page three without paying for a premium membership. Maybe someone with a Scribd account can help at least summarize the writing.

This used to be free to read, but Scribd became a subscription service recently. I hope John re-uploads it soon somewhere else.

I took advantage of the free 'premium' trial and managed to download it before it expired.

I don’t know if I can find any. But there are not much of his writings. He actually expresses everything that he wants to say through his songs and his lyrics. Why don’t you try all the songs to see it?
