Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Guaranteed better results than OKStupid. This is probably the only demographic that will exuberantly engage about sci-fi gynoids, shamanism, Stanley Kubrick, and the problems of latency. "ISO SM who will kill with his hands for me TYVM."

My family's home flooded recently. It's a split level, and if you look at the picture below, there is a hallway in the far right corner. My room is in that hall. A lot of stuff got damaged/ruined. Including lots of my records. I saved most of them, but some covers got damaged and moldy and thus had to be scrapped. As fellow music lovers... feel for me. I am in pain.

Wow, that looks bad. :(
I feel your pain, I had the same thing happen a few years ago, except I was lucky not to lose any of my music, just had to spend buttloads of money cleaning it all up. It all worked out okay in the end though.

So sorry about your records and their watery grave, PG. I know to other, more conventional folk, it may be just 'stuff,' but record collectors are not that. Hope you went swimming at least.

Shout out to any Mausketeers in New England. I tried something, it didn't work out, so I may be moving back into my mom's house in a few months. It would be comforting to know there are some relatable people in the vicinity.

Dare to be Great, App :666D:

That's what I tell myself before I go on stage, or lead a meeting, or something similar.

You've got the goods, make things happen.

Having said that, I just had a super crap meeting today that went totally off the rails. But I tried. Our own president/medical director screwed it up. Everyone was happy and having fun but nothing got done and the whole purpose of the meeting was shot early on, despite my efforts to get it back on track. Doctors are whimsical flakes.

but THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW / BET YER BOTTOM DOLLAR THAT TOMORRROOOOWWWW.... :666: sorry

Prepare. Make notes for yourself. Take benzodiazepines or beta blockers. Remember that it will be over soon and people will be focused on learning so they won't notice that weird tic you have. "This too shall pass." "Carpe diem." "You got this!"
Good luck!

Has anyone else here been an international student? Currently working my ass off so my life will (hypothetically) be better in the future and I can afford a student visa, uni applications, tuition fees, etc.. Struggling with my do-over at life since moving back home and it's proving to be everything I remembered wanting to get away from. I was so homesick for so long, but it's been a big reality check seeing how crap America treats its citizens after living abroad.
