Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Man, the Liquid Sky restoration is my favorite Blu-ray release of the year
can't wait to watch the extras!
Also picked up Kedi, The Last Laugh, The Violent Years - good stuff
also revisiting PT Anderson movies
Boogie Nights was my favorite movie junior year in high school and man does that movie hold up. Hoping Phantom Thread is better than the last two PTA movies.

that's a fun one, Harry

Liquid Sky is coming out on Vinegar Syndrome in November
we had the tape when I was in high school (recorded on VHS) so I'm excited to see it cleaned up

I owe you one for this, Appy - wouldn't've known anything about it if you hadn't posted that - happened to check the Vinegar Syndrome site just when they were selling it, and grabbed a copy before it sold out. And there it is, right now, on my DVD shelves. Think I'm going to save it for NYE... :float:

I love Liquid Sky. I first saw it in 98 when I was in high school. my dad had recorded it on vhs for my brother, who also loves this movie. We quote a lot of lines from it - it definitely made quite a deep impact on us. I love the bonus features on the disc, just to see Anne Carlisle now is a treat

Here's one I gotta tell you about, if you've never seen it. I just learned a couple weeks ago that a movie we used to rent in the 80's called Threads is coming out on limited edition blu-ray from Severin. I know how these things sell out fast, so I couldn't resist. Threads haunted me ever since I was a kid.

Heaven Knows What

Ariel has a brief cameo. It's a really good film that was written by the lead actress. The Safdie Brothers are pretty uniquely talented filmmakers.
