Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Does this look right? Interesting that there are two songs that are "unknown." I've gotta say I'm a little disappointed in a few of the choices. I hope setlists vary over the course of the tour.

I hate to be that guy, but I hope he plays more of his older songs when he comes to LA. I know this is a Mature Themes tour, but I'd like to see him play Every Night I Die At Miyagi's, For Kate I Wait, Gettin' High In the Morning. I'm really excited to see him play WS III!

I'm really hoping Little Wig pops up in some places, I really wana see that one. The big disappointments are Is This The Best Spot and Nostradamus and Me. Those two are probably at the bottom of the list of songs I'd want to see them do.

They played a lot though in Austin! 20 songs. It must have been a really great show.

I won't be too picky considering this will be my first time seeing him! And he's got such a massive discography, there's no way I can go into it expecting to see every song I want to see. Still surprised to see Nostradamus on there, though. Put in Schnitzel Boogie instead.

awesome they did Nostradamus and Early Birds
I'm glad they're concentrating on MT, but I'm sure it's bound to change

I got the feeling the label was a litle more involved w this tour than the last few times which makes me think its gonna have mostly songs from 4ad prosoductions....there's a review out there I saw on fb but since I'm on my stupid phone somebody else is gonna have to post it

I was at the Dallas show...the songs I remember him playing ():

Symphony of the Nymph
Kinski Assassin
Round and Round
Early Birds of Babylon
One On One
Is This The Best Spot?
Only In My Dreams
Bright Lit Blue Skies
Mature Themes
Pink Slime
Nostradamus & Me
Witchhunt Suite For WW3 (whole song)
Farewell American Primitive
Menopause Man
Crybaby
Baby
Shades Away

There was also a few more of his older songs, but i didn't recognize them. Early Birds and Witchhunt were the best. Mature Themes was kinda disappointing, tho.

The only review I could find, Kate. He goes on about Kenny for a lot of it. He's also very vague because he doesn't know a lot of the song names.

Ya that's the review I saw pg...I think he's right that flying circles was the second "unknown" from the setlist too....all I could remember was that the 2 encore songs were off house arrest. kenny is super cool though! I agree with that!
