Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Haven't given up hope on the Philly show yet, just trying to get my head around transportation. Asked someone for advice, there seems to be several confusing train combos that will take me to an area of Chinatown that tends to be a bit dodgy at night but is a 20 minute walk away from Union Transfer. Need to do more research, really! Might need a hotel as well, I'm thinking...Hope all this plotting actually goes somewhere and gets me there!

That Vivian Girl show on Monday was fucking awesome. I don't think I've ever sweated so much in my life. My entire body is still sore and I'm hoping I recover by the weekend for FYF Fest. John Maus Saturday! :victory:

AGGH I'm so jealous! I read on twitter they were putting him between two comedy acts? I don't understand the logic there, but okay. :dabbadeedabbadoo:

A few nonbelievers on twitter following FYF, but some positive tweets as well. Also one from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart which said 'Almost hit John Maus when we were parking' #rightofwayohyeah. Made me snigger. Glad no one got hit, although it could have been the start of a beautiful friendship (Buzzcocks hit comedian Fred Armisen on the way to a festival and instead of taking insurance details, he got to request some songs!).

Made me laugh too, they followed it up with:

The Pains of Being ‏@thepainsofbeing

JM is great. Tragedy averted.

I like TPOBPAH even more now that they've revealed themselves to be Maus admirers.

November 20 in Stockholm, can't fucking wait. I think it's going to be the best concert I'll ever attend.

At first there was a bit of head bobbing for John Maus at fyf, then I found a good crowd off people and we danced? and sang along to his songs. Good show despite the unusual setting. That photographer's pit kind of sucks.

Is anybody going to be at the following APHG shows?

Dallas
ATL
Carrborro, NC
NYC
Minneapolis
Denver
Salt Lake
SF
LA

I think I have the rest of the tour (US only) covered as far as people to hand out buttons for me - but I am looking for anybody going to any of these shows that would be interested in passing out buttons to the crowd...all you have to do is send me your address and I can mail you a package of buttons...it's that easy!!! If you're socially awkward you can always leave them laying around or something - but this could also be a good way for some of you guys to pick up chics too!!
