I think the recordings are what makes Ariel Pink interesting. I mean, the songs are GOOD, but the way he records is what has always interested me. He has such an original style of recording and although they are extremely lo-fi, they're never really recorded or mixed poorly. the quality recordings ...

the copy of deathcrush 99 goin around the internet is too fast - it is 9:07, the original is 10:33 if you play it at 86% its original speed it sounds waayyyy better

teen routines is really neat, his cover of philosophy of the world by the shaggs is great...

i'd say my personal fav is the original version of why should i love you...but I like some of his other stuff too

His albums are too iffy though. Lots of dud tracks. "The North" has like 6 good songs. Eh.
