..Often while driving I compile songs that etch out a character in my mind. I'd like to make a very stylized film using the songs as a sort of boundary. I think the emotional content of it would have depth and so it would not need much of a catchy or interesting plot. So, anyways, for a black and wh...

I found WMBTPCOO in a pile of CDs at my local library in Duluth, MN. The cover art is missing and the back cover is a photocopy, but the CD is in good condition. I was surprised to see it.

I'm going to see Mad Max on Tuesday. Some movies I enjoyed recently: Crystal Fairy & The Magical Cactus, Smoke, Rumble Fish, Cop Land, Drunken Master, Blood Simple, Manhattan Murder Mystery, Louie Bluie, and Land Ho! http://michaelpiggott.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/rumblefish_mickeyrourkemattdillon...

I've been listening to Steeley Dan a lot. Mostly Gaucho and Aja.
Also some Rupert Holmes, Prince's Raspberry Beret, Megadeth's Youthanasia
big country https://youtu.be/zLM61Y-HwKc
Captain Beefheart's Clear Spot
and occasionally Death Grips

Here's a trailer for a feature film I'm running around to festivals. It took me 29 years to make and is getting great critical acclaim. It should start showing in indie theaters this Thanksgiving. Thanks for watching.

Watch the last minute for Ariel's guitar playing http://youtu.be/m3bEByGN1NU My only point is, don't be naive. It would be cool if Ariel learns to play better, but I doubt he will. Mick Jagger did the same kinda thing on stage. Kurt Cobain also did terrible guitar work on stage, but he could keep hi...

No, I am pretty sure Ariel DOES NOT play the instruments. On allmusic.com they give credit to "ariel pink's haunted graffiti" which is just a catch all for whomever is involved. We know he has had issues with band members wanting credit and not getting any. I know he definitely worked with a lot of ...

This guy does good covers of Haunted Graffiti and Ariel complimented him in a comment. This song looks like major chords and 7 chords. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pNGCOWfBKVE

I think his early stuff has no music theory involved. There is a video of him playing guitar on YouTube and he's pretty bad. I listened to a lot of Haunted Graffiti the past two days and was wondering who plays the guitar and bass on a lot of the tracks. I think some of his songs change keys or they...

Some things I've done while recording that reminded me of John and Ariels sound: extreme adjustments of the eq before mixdown, recording drums or vocals at a different tape speed, slightly increasing tape speed before mixdown, record guitar to tape and use sends to run into stereo effects unit and r...

http://www.moorestevie.com/press/zanna.html i think zanna is used by both rsm and ap. its like a collective character between the 2 of them. i'm guessing it comes from piecing two words together and may come from frank zappa and Xanadu. i feel i've read exactly where it's come from before, but i don...
