News is old my friends, news is old uhh uhh. John just finished his European tour, taking in the UK, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic. He has returned to the US, and we all await the release of his new album in June.

TOUR is coming up soon! John Maus will be touring with Charlift as guest member as well as playing in select cities as an opener. Check out Music News Net for more info.

John has confirmed that he will be playing three dates in Austin, Texas. The first two are tomorrow. Straight after Texas he will be flying up to play a Tiny Creatures event with the excellent Gary War, Lady Bird, Wonder Wheel and Nite Jewel. You can get venue information here.

John will be playing two dates in Austin, Texas on the 12th and 13th March 2008. Venue details are yet to be confirmed. It probably isn't a coincidence that SXSW is on during these dates. However there is nothing on the site just yet.

The "Love is real" vinyl test pressings are back and the artwork has been finalised, so fingers crossed it'll come back from the plant in a month or so! Thanks to Upset The Rhythm for the update.

And so ends the European tour, from various sources it seems that John plans to work on the next record, and then hopefully tour again in the summer (possibly mainland Europe). All that is left to say, is that your friends at Mausspace wish you a very merry christmas and a happy new year!

Love is Real has been released today, there is no news yet on the Upset The Rhythm webpage, however it can be ordered from the Southern website.

John Maus will be playing Riffs, Station Road, Blackpool, England on the 15th December 2007. Local act Ceramic Hobs (who boast Thurston Moore as a fan) are also hopefully playing, also rumoured to be playing are The Delmars, a local instrumental surf rock band that haven't played together for a number of years.
